Gabrielle Giffords, who is infamously known for being the target of Jared Lee Loughner in the Tuscson shooting, has resigned from Congress. Giffords has made remarkable progress in the ability to walk, talk, read and write since being shot in the head. In her resignation from Congress, she stated that she would now take this time to recover from her wounds.
